inEVM is essential to this paradigm shift, and is the latest milestone from Injective. inEVM signifies substantial progress in interoperability among leading blockchain networks and emphasizes Injective’s commitment to fostering an integrated Web3 network.Injective’s inEVM enables Ethereum developers to build applications that can uniquely leverage Injective’s blazing fast speeds and near zero fees while simultaneously achieving composability across the WASM and EVM world. In turn, this allows Injective to be the only L1 blockchain capable of unifying the interoperability of Cosmos with the speed of Solana and the developer access of Ethereum.

What is LayerZero?

LayerZero is an open-source, immutable messaging protocol designed to facilitate the creation of omnichain, interoperable applications. With LayerZero, developers can easily send arbitrary data, external function calls, and tokens with omnichain messaging, while preserving full autonomy and control over their application.

LayerZero’s integration with inEVM ushers in a new era of seamless cross-chain communication, empowering developers to build interoperable dApps that transcend traditional blockchain boundaries. This integration allows users of Ethereum, Arbitrum, and other chains to seamlessly interact with dApps deployed on the inEVM network and vice versa. By bridging these disparate ecosystems, LayerZero enabled dApps launching on inEVM to tap into a vast pool of users, liquidity, and resources from other chains, fostering a vibrant and interconnected ecosystem.

Utilizing LayerZero for inEVM

Developers can leverage LayerZero to create omnichain apps, or OApps, which interact not only within the Injective ecosystem, but also across all interconnected networks supported by Layer Zero.

Additionally, developers will be able to utilize LayerZero Endpoints, which are crucial components that facilitate this communication between different blockchains.

OApps uniquely have horizontal composability, allowing for external cross chain calls to and from inEVM to be containerized as new message packets. This ensures the separation of the receipt logic from the external call itself.

By utilizing LayerZero dApps launched on inEVM can access assets from a host of other networks as well as unique assets typically not available before on Injective such as liquid staked assets. In addition, due to Injective’s integration with IBC, inEVM can enjoy access to both Etheruem native assets along with assets across the Cosmos universe.
